Dear Friends of AMLT,

As we welcome the Spring Equinox and with it my 1-year anniversary with the organization, I find myself reflecting on what this season symbolizes for all of us at AMLT. Spring is a time of rebirth, renewal, and a re-envisioning of what is to come. For our organization, this moment mirrors the transformation happening across Mutsun territory and within our work. Over the past year, AMLT has stepped into a new chapter marked by expanding stewardship responsibilities, deepening partnerships, and a growing presence on lands that hold profound cultural meaning for the Amah Mutsun people. Each new property, each new opportunity, each new discovery of what the land holds represents a seed of possibility, one that will continue to grow with care, intention, and your support. 

This season reminds us that growth is not always loud or immediate; it takes thoughtful planning and intentional, carefully coordinated steps that move us all toward the long‑held vision of reestablishing relationship with the land, together. As we prepare for future Tribal engagement, strengthened relationships, and the development of stewardship plans rooted in traditional knowledge, we are cultivating the conditions for long-term stewarding of the land, Mutsun culture, and the deeply-committed community of supporters like you. 

I am deeply grateful to all who walk alongside us in this work. Your support nourishes these seeds of regrowth, helping ensure that the Amah Mutsun people can continue returning to and caring for the places that have provided for them for centuries. The path ahead is bright and, together, we are growing something strong and lasting.
